It’s Always Easier to Keep Up, than Catch Up

Easier to Keep Up than Catch Up

You are behind on your work.

You know the feeling, and it’s not a good one. It causes stress, worry, and much wasted time.

It could have been avoided if only you had kept up with your obligations and deadlines in the first place.

Keep Up Now or Catch Up Later

“I’ll do it tomorrow.”

Famous last (procrastination) words.

You know what happens. You don’t do it tomorrow. Or the day after that. And then you have a much bigger mess to address.

If only you had done the work along the way, then you wouldn’t have to catch up.

“It’s always easier to keep up now, than catch up later.”

It’s amazing how quickly tasks can pile up. What was once a “5 minute task,” is suddenly hours worth of catch up.

There are many things that are easier to keep up with than catch up:

  • Finishing your tasks
  • Doing Laundry
  • Getting in shape
  • Cleaning up
  • Studying for a test
  • Filing paperwork
  • Reading

Maintaining is Easier than Fixing Later

You have to keep up with life. You can’t cram it later.

The next time you find yourself falling behind, make sure you catch yourself.

Putting in the extra effort now, to keep yourself on track, is always less effort than catching up later.
