What’s On Your Time Management XMAS List?

Hopefully, you have finished your holiday shopping.  (See “5 Reasons Your Holiday Shopping Should Be Done.”)

As the holiday season is upon us, I thought I would post a few of my favorite time management gifts for the season.

If you read my blog or follow me on Twitter, you probably know that am I am big fan of Amazon.com.  In fact, I do most of my shopping there.  (Note: affiliate links below)

If you have not finished your shopping, you still have four days left to shop via Amazon and still receive your items in time for XMAS via their free 2-Day shipping.

Here are some of my favorite gifts via Amazon for the Time Management Ninja in your life…

Notebooks

Peanuts Moleskine

Moleskine notebooks are my notebook of choice.  (See “Why You Should Try a Moleskine Notebook.”)

For Peanuts 60th anniversary, Moleskine is making limited edition Peanuts Moleskine notebooks featuring your favorite characters like Snoopy and Woodstock.

(Or if you prefer, you can get the normal Moleskine here.)

Books

REWORK by Jason Friedman and David Heinemeier Hansson

If you buy one business or time management book this year, it should be REWORK by Jason Friedman and David Heinemeier Hansson.

I read this book recently, and it blew me away.  Their common sense approach goes against the grain of how many companies operate today.  But, you too will agree that it just makes sense!

The 4-Hour Body – by Timothy Ferriss

This is what I am reading today.

You are probably familiar with Tim Ferriss.  His book “The 4-Hour Workweek” was a #1 bestseller.

Just released this week is his follow-up, “The 4-Hour Body.”  This book is about his other obsession, which is experimenting with the human body for maximum results.

It is almost 600 pages of tips and techniques.

I will post a full review soon.

Gadgets

MacBook Air 11.6″

You can’t go wrong with Apple’s new MacBook Air 11″.

It is by far the lightest, most portable, and most usable notebook out there.

It is available in both 11″ and 13″ models.  I prefer the 11″ for portability.  The battery life on both is amazing.

The thinness and form factor make the system a joy to use whether at home or on the road.

iPod Touch (32GB)

No iPhone?  No worries.  The latest version of the iPod Touch brings all you need without the phone bill.

Apps? Check.  Facetime camera?  Check.  iPod?  Check.  Videos? Check?  Games?  Check.  And on and on.

The 32GB model provides more that enough room for your music, pictures, apps, and more.

Kindle (Wi-Fi)

Just need an eBook reader?  The Kindle is still the one to beat.  The new version starts at just $139 for the Wi-Fi version.  (Also available in a 3G version.)

Amazon has released Kindle software for almost all platforms, so you can read and sync your books across all your systems.  (iPhone/iPod, Android, Blackberry, PC, Mac)

Stocking Stuffers

Sharpie Stainless Steel

“There are few problems that can’t be addressed with a Sharpie marker. ”

Here is a fancy stainless steel Sharpie.

Pilot G2 Gel Pens

My favorite gel pens are from Pilot.  Get at tri-color pack of G2 pens.

  1. Great list Craig. I’d really love to hear your thoughts on the 4-Hour-Body, so please give us a review when you’re done. The title is intriguing.
