You have a BIG goal.
A dream that you have always wanted to pursue.
Just when you are about to do something about it, someone tells you that it’s imposssible. That it can’t be done. Or maybe that it’s a bad idea.
Suddenly, the wind is out of your sails. The air is let out of your tires. Your motivation fades and you quit on your big idea.
Yet, in this situation, you are the one quitting on yourself.
Don’t Give Up So Easily on Yourself
Recently, a friend of mine received negative feedback on a business idea.
He was going to give up. (Even before he started.)
I asked him what the critics knew about his business and the concept he was working on.
When he thought about it, none of the people who had offered negative comments knew anything about his area of expertise. These “critics” were being negative without knowing the first fact about the concept he was building.
“You are the only person who can quit on your dreams.” (Tweet this Quote)
I told him not to quit so easily. After all, it was his idea. He was the one who had dreamed it, and only he could decide whether or not to pursue it.
Only You Can Quit on Your Dreams
What dream, goal, or idea have you given up on simply because you were concerned about what others thought? Or because you had received negative feedback?
Others may give up. Others may criticize you. Others may think you are nuts to pursue your passion.
Let them go their way. Let them be non-believers.
Always remember, only you can quit on you.
