You meant to get it done.
Like most entrepreneurs, you have a lot of great ideas. So many, in fact, that sometimes you don’t know which intention to act on next. And sometimes, well, things slide.
How can you turn your intentions into actions?
Getting It All Done
When you’re an entrepreneur, you’re busy building your brand, responding to your tribe, creating products, and all the while coming up with new and innovative ideas to do more. Your intention is to do it all. But you can’t. There just isn’t enough time in the day, even if you’re an early bird.
That’s where a virtual assistant can help. A virtual assistant (VA) can “do” those things that you have been meaning to do, but never get to. A VA can turn your intentions into actions, improving your brand and your connection with your tribe.
Here are 6 Ways a Virtual Assistant Can Turn Your Intentions into Actions:
1. Sending out your best work. You proofed that document twice. But let’s face it, you know exactly what you meant to say, so when you read over it, you read what you meant to write instead of the typo that was on the page. A VA can review all of your documents so that your blog post, proposal or book can be presented to your tribe or client, error-free.
2. Responding to emails. You know that email in your inbox, the one you really want to respond to from a member of your tribe who complimented your post, or client who asked a question…but you just haven’t gotten to it. And it’s been in your inbox for 3 months. The sender doesn’t know about your intention to respond, only the fact that they’ve been ignored for 3 months. Your VA can respond to standard inquiries immediately, and if you do get the time to respond, your secondary response will be the icing on the cake. Either way, the sender will feel noticed and important to you when your VA responds immediately on your behalf.
3. Shipping that product. There are a lot of components to shipping the product. As the entrepreneur, you are working on the content, but what about the marketing, bio creation, and team interaction. Your VA can be the conduit between you and your team, keeping track of follow-up so that you don’t have to. She or he can be the detail person, so that you can focus on the big picture.
4. Providing accountability. You keep saying you’re going to create that product, or start that project. It may be an eBook, online course, or new page on your website…but it never gets done. Your VA can provide that gentle nudge needed to keep you on task. And she can also be the voice of reason that says, “With your current workload, there is no way we can get that completed by the deadline. Let’s tell the team we need to extend it.”
5. Having More Time. You know you want more time. Having a VA can seemingly give you more time. By allowing your VA to take over routine tasks on a regular basis, you will be freed up to get more of your creative work done. Giving you more time at work will free up more time outside of work, for a healthy work life balance.
6. Making More Money. How can a VA make you more money? It’s simple math really. Your billable hours are at a much higher rate than your VA. Every task that your VA does for you, saves your time, and therefore costs you less money. The time you save, will be used to create more content and products, which will then make you more money. It’s a win-win situation.
Turning Good Intentions into Great Actions
Turning your intentions into actions gives way to turning your ideas into materiality. A virtual assistant can change you from a person with good intentions, to a leader with great actions.
Question: In what areas could a virtual assistant turn your intentions into actions? You can leave a comment by clicking here.
I use my VA for billing and payment, among other things. For example, she sends the invoices. She collects the payments from my clients by phone or online (credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal). She calls clients for missing payments. She prepares a monthly income statement of the expenses and income after reconciling my bank statement. She does a lot more, but the billing has the most direct impact on my bottom line. She makes sure the money comes in.
Having your own virtual assistant really makes life easier. You get things done and it gives you more time to focus on other important tasks.
My VAs have helped me so much I cannot even imagine my business life without them. If there is a task that I can create a process for, I will gladly hand it off to one of my team members.
