Do You Need a Productivity Hammer to Get Your Tasks Done?

Hammer

Hammers exist for a reason.

Sometimes brute force is needed to put things in place. (Like a nail…)

When it comes to your productivity, sometimes you need an elegant solution.

And other times you just need a hammer to put tasks in their place.

It Takes a Little Force

Sometimes you need a little force to get things done.

At other times, you need a lot more.

“Some tasks require brute force to get them done.”

The job at hand may require hard work.

It may require extreme effort to complete it.

It’s at these times that you need to use a hammer.

Hammer Tasks to Done

You need to force something to done.

It may not be the time for a subtle solution.

Here are just a few times that you might need to bring your productivity hammer:

  • When Overwhelming Force is Needed – Some todos require extra force. When it must get done, make sure you bring an overwhelming effort to the task at hand. This may require extra work or a singular focus on a task until it is done.
  • Getting Things Unstuck – When things are stuck, it may take blunt force to get things moving again. I am not referring to breaking things, but rather breaking things loose.
  • Breaking Down Barriers – You can avoid some obstacles and go around others. But sometimes, you need to break down a brick wall that is preventing you from reaching your goal. Bring your hammer for this one.
  • The Right Tool for the Job – There is a best tool for every job. Don’t use a screwdriver when you should be using a hammer.

Sometimes You Need a Productivity Hammer

There is a time and place for a gentle solution.

And other times, you need to hammer things into place.

Always make sure you are using the right tool for the job.

  1. Today I need to hammer through some research! Focus and effort will have to be my “hammer” to keep motivated and finish the task. I like the idea of the “productivity hammer” – another great tool to keep on hand!
