I often hear people complaining about “all the things they have to do.”
Going on and on about, “Having too much they have to do.”
The hard truth is that there are very few things that you must do.
Rather, you are complaining about a list full of things that you don’t have to do, but are in fact choosing to do.
Too Much To Do
Too much complaining about having to do this or that.
The truth is there are very few things in life that you truly have to do.
But I have to go to my job. No you don’t. You want to go to your job.
“There are few things you MUST do in life… the rest is privilege.”
To be clear, by privilege I do not mean something given to you, but rather a right that you have earned.
The right to do your job.
The right to spend time with your family.
The right to do nothing all weekend.
The right to take your kids to their activities.
The right to clean your yard.
The right to repair your car.
I hear people complain about these things all the time.
Yet, they shouldn’t be negative. Rather, they are obligations that you have earned.
And you should enjoy every moment of taking care of them.
The Privilege to Do Things
You don’t have to do much in this world. Really, you don’t.
But there are many things you get to do, because of all the things you have.
It is a privilege which you should be thankful for each and every day.
