Top 10 Productivity Gifts for the Holidays

Productivity Gifts

I am hoping that you spent this Thanksgiving with family and friends rather than running about town shopping.

If you survived Black Friday, here are my Top 10 gifts for the productivity-minded this holiday season.

And yes, you can save time by getting them all via the Internet…

Here are 10 Top Productivity Gifts for the Holidays for all price ranges:

  1. iPad Air and Mini with Retina – The iPad still rules the tablet market. The new iPad Air is incredible and is almost as light as the new iPad Mini. You can’t go wrong with either of these devices. They are identical in specs (resolution, processor, camera, etc.), so it really comes down to size preference. For iPads, I recommend you go straight to Apple.com.
  2. Moleskine Notebooks – These are still the best paper notebooks out there. You can go with the standard Moleskine or even the Evernote edition.
  3. NeuYear Calendars – The best big wall calendars are made by NeuYear. Get your 2014 in focus with one of their new wall calendars.
  4. Jackery Battery Pack – When you are on the go, do you need extra power for your phone? Very reasonably priced, check out this 2.1A charger by Jackery via Amazon.
  5. Headphones – There are lots of headphone choices out there. I prefer over-the-ear types and recommend the V-MODA Crossfade LP via Amazon. My V-MODA headphones get daily use when I am writing.
  6. Mindnode Mindmapping Software – I am a big fan of mindmapping tools. The latest one I am using is Mindnode. Their new iOS release is the best iOS 7 mindmapping UI that I have seen. As well, they have a Mac app that automatically syncs with your iPad/iPhone via iCloud. Get the iOS app here and the Mac edition via the app store.
  7. Custom Edition Pens by Karas Kustoms – My current favorite pen is the Retrakt by Karas Kustoms. I recently supported their Kickstarter project. The aluminum edition I use is currently on backorder, but they have many great other options.
  8. Defy Bags – Defy is a great made-in-America company that makes custom messenger bags. These are not your typical bags as each one is made by hand in Chicago. I use the Square edition messenger bag to carry my MacBook Air and iPad Mini. These bags are incredibly durable and made of military and industrial surplus. They are not inexpensive, but worth the investment.
  9. Scansnap Scanner – Looking to go paperless? The scanner I use is the Fujitsu iX500. It is the top-of-the-line scanner out there. It can devour all of your loose papers and turn them into PDFs in a hurry.
  10. TMN eBooks and eCourse – Of course, I have to add the TMN books and courses to this list. My TMN 31 Days time management course is available from my site here. And my new Best Of TMN eBooks are available on Amazon here.

Question: What other productivity tools and gadgets are on your holiday wish list?
